Well, it's almost been a
month since I posted on here. A lot of things have happened since "Moore
Truth". Just to name a few:
- My son has reached the ripe old age of 1. Much cake was eaten and
many presents were unwrapped during two birthday parties. Of course, empty
boxes and wrappings seemed to be get more of his attention than the toys that
litter our small apartment.
- Speaking of the apartment, we'll be moving
out of there sometime in January to our house-to-be. A two-story house
will be built for us in a nearby neighborhood. I'm excited with the
prospect of hanging pictures or shelves without the terror of losing a security
deposit. I'm thinking of chronicling the experience on this site if I get
the chance.
- My new job is great. The paychecks are much larger
(thus the house) and I'm doing something other than slowly melting my brain over
a hot phone all day. I've been "training" for awhile and will be taking a
class next week on the AIX operating system.
- The Democratic National
Convention started yesterday. John Kerry won't speak until Thursday but I
did catch Bill Clinton on CNN last night. He was charismatic as ever while
denouncing the current president...even making jokes at his own expense while
telling everyone to vote for Kerry. Polls show the election could go
either way and while I'm hoping for a landslide vote for Kerry, I'd still be
happy seeing Bush booted out of the White House losing by a few votes (not
counting the Supreme Court).
- If you're not sure for whom to vote,
watch This Land (see image). It shows the
presidential race as it probably will be in a couple months. Hurry up and
watch it because it may be sued
out of extinction.
- That's it. Go home!
