DS? Yes!

Clicky, clicky!

*lame title*

The Nintendo DS, shown to your left, has a new look.  Nintendo finally put the finishing touches on the Nintendo DS's look before its US release in November.  According to their website, they have 120 games in the works (20 of which Nintendo is making themselves) and over 100 developers working on these and more.  No word on how much it's going to cost, with built in microphone, wireless communication, touch-sensitive screen and rechargeable battery capabilities.  However, knowing Nintendo prices it's hardware to sell, I'm thinking it'll be $150 at most...probably less.  I'm excited!

I also have to discuss my disgust with the healthcare and health insurance industries.  They suck.  Run by morons using crappy software these companies send statement after statement, bill after bill to people who simply want to pay what they owe and move on with their lives.  Instead, a simple doctor's visit can go unresolved for months.  My son's hospital bills are still generating statements more than a year after he was born.

Why does this continue?  I haven't even mentioned the outrageous costs associated with keeping you and yours feeling well.  People are less afraid of doctors and surgery than they are the horrendous bills they will face afterwards.  I have myself had to decide whether or not going to the doctor for a cold or flu is worth the $15 co-pay.  More often than not, a $8 box of cold pills is a better investment.  Silly.

Right on about simple doctor visits. Well about 2 months ago I went for a doctor visit. I called to see if they could see me that day. They said sure. So I made the trip in arrived at 4:00pm. Sat there for 1.5 hours and then finally got to see the doctor. Than as I was leaving they told me that I would have to pay for and emergency visit because it was after 5pm before I seen the doctor.

What a load of crap I was so pissed off that I almost had to be taken out by security. Then like you said I finally got the bill last week. I also found out that my health insurance doesn't cover emergency visits till my deductible is used up. But if it was billed as a regular visit like I set it up for they would cover 80%. And I would only pay 20% and that amount would go for me deductible. Not the whole amount.

I still haven't paid it yet and have several complaints in about there practices. Will have to see if they change it or not. Will probably just pay it and decide never to go to the doctors again, less I have a limb chopped off. So watch your back.

You seem to complain a lot about health care...but I agree with ya...now just imagine how you would feel with out any health coverage...welcome to my world.

I have been there before, too. What sucks about today's healthcare is how much it does cost when you have it and how little it seems to benefit when you use it. Not to mention the lack of interest from most healthcare workers that you are getting better.
