Idle Hands

I'm sure that if anyone is reading this site regularly, they're pretty disappointed at my lack of posts.  Since such people probably don't exist, I don't feel too bad about that.  ;^)

I saw a pretty cool movie on Saturday.  Keanu Reeves stops his "Matrix kung fu crap" and picks up some holy water and a demon blasting gun to prevent the son of Satan from taking over the world in Constantine.  The opening credits suggested the origin of this movie's story came from a comic book named Hellblazer

I enjoyed this movie quite a bit as it reminded me of Castlevania if it were ever made into a movie.  Despite the fact that the Belmonts are vampire hunters and this movie is more of a God/Satan/Angels angle, the tone and visuals could have allowed for Dracula's castle to be right around the corner.  Good flick!

I received the 4th volume DVDs of Futurama for X-mas and have been watching the episodes quite a bit during the last week.  The entire series is great and some of the greatest and funniest TV you can watch.  Unfortunately, the show has tons of details and jokes mainly aimed at nerds.  Not being the "target" audience FOX wanted, the shows demise was inevitable.  Thankfully, Adult Swim resurrected the show a few years back and they said last night it had broken some kind of viewership record.  Facts have it that Family Guy will be running new episodes in May or so but I wish Futurama were getting that treatment as it's a much better show, IMHO.
