Get Wasted!

Welcome back to Spolem.net.  I've changed the site again.  This shouldn't be shocking but I think it's a lot better behind the scenes.  Anyway, here's the first post in like months... 

The image to the left is from Grand Theft Auto 2.  Those nutcases out there who think GTA is a training video for cop killers can shut up right now.  Now that the game is FREEWARE I have remembered how much I liked playing it.  You can have your fancy 3D GTAs, but I remember really looking forward to GTA2's release.  Since then I have played the game like you're "supposed to", meaning the missions.  However, my favorite pasttime is just picking up a car or weapon and causing pure chaos and seeing how much I can get away with before the cops get me! 

The original GTA is free, too, but on my computer it ran choppy no matter what I did.  Who cares though when you can play it's sexier sister.  Speaking of free games, do a Google search on "abandonware".  And you'll find some great old games that can be played once again using something like DOSBox.  Check out Jetpack, Squarez or God of Thunder from AdeptSoftware.  If you want more, go to Home of the Underdogs to find more great, classic games that you probably can't buy anymore.
