Good News, Everyone!

Cool, eh?

I was watching Adult Swim yesterday and they said there's going to be "four, all new Direct-to-DVD Futurama movies." GotFuturama.com claims Billy West, the voice of Fry and several other characters, posted this:

[The] Futurama project is a done deal! [...] There are 4 DVD movies that we'll start recording at the end of July or August. Full feature length FUTURAMA movies. Everybody is excited to get back together--as I am!

This is good news as I think Futurama is some of the best entertainment spawned from TV.  Adult Swim is also airing Futurama every day of the week (except Friday) by putting American Dad out to pasture.  That show sprung from the success of Family Guy's return but was just too...something.  Too much like Family Guy but more incoherent, if that's possible.  Family Guy's new shows are entertaining but not quite on par with the original.  I've gripped enough about these two shows before, however, I am crossing my fingers that Futurama will not suffer the fate of Family Guy's no-so-super return.  Hopefully the writers, etc. will be able to pick right up where the last episode left off without missing a step.  Otherwise it might tarnish the show forever.  No pressure guys... ;^)
