Going Gold

The Splog, my combination of Spolem and weblog (or blog), is ready for action.  This is good news but "What took so long?" might be the question from my loyal readers. 

Since my last real post almost a year ago, I've rewritten almost every piece of PHP code used to make this site in the quest for the ultimate organization.  I have spent a lot of time surfing for the "best" way to organize and build a website using PHP (templates, scripts, etc.) and it's still not quite clear to me this day.  Despite all that, the rest of the site has been finished for awhile.  Over the past few weeks, I've built a new system which contains three different types of things: Links, Posts and Articles. 

A Link is a simple item to highlight a website I've found.  A Post is the same type of blurb or rant I've always done.  Finally, an Article is a longer post that might need more background, explanation or even more ranting.  Hopefully with all this work and the fact that I'm on the Internet almost every day, I'll write posts everyday or even more often.  I'm not sure why that's a good thing yet but if you do happen to read this stuff, write me a comment so i know to keep going.  Thanks.
