Truly No End in Sight

If you have followed world events since September 11th, 2001 or are just sick of hearing about the war in Iraq, you need to view the documentary pictured in this post.  No End in Sight was released in October and contains a detailed chronology of the war Dubya started in 2003 right up to the later half of this year.  No matter what your political beliefs are, this film will cause you to shake your head. 

I admit that my position on Iraq has been "let's get out of there and leave the Iraqis to deal with their own problems." Now, don't get me wrong, I think the war was a total fucking mistake and we should get out of there as soon as possible. This film made me realize, however, that the situation is the way it is because douche bags like Cheney, Rumsfeld, Bremmer, Rice and Bush are barely qualified to play Risk let alone manage a war effort.  (It almost lost my lunch seeing the photos of these jackasses in Wikipedia.) Based on the information in this documentary, our military ousted Saddam Hussein and then the civilian managers of the war did everything in their power to fuck over the Iraqi population making it inevitable that they would hate each other and us Americans even more.  These idiots probably couldn't handle a game of hopscotch. 

The people who ran this war into the ground are doing the same thing to our country.  Our real problems and those of the Iraqi people won't end until the average American wakes up from their Starbucks and Made In China delusions of freedom and gets a clue.  30% of the U.S. doesn't vote and most of the rest pick their politicians based on "pressing" issues like gay marriage or deciding what women can and can't do with their own uterus.
