Collusion

This is garbage. The telco immunity that was allowed to get into the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) bill today will probably pass right on though the US's worthless legislative branch and onto the desk of the Chimp in Chief.

Basically, telecom companies, like AT&T and Verizon, have been helping the President illegally spy on US citizens and their communications for years now under the flag of "terrorism", only to be called out on it by the New York Times (I believe) and others.  Lawsuits have been filed against these companies for doing so.  Impeachment has been whispered for the President for his role in all this.  You know what'll happen?  This law will get them all off scott-free and will startup the domestic spying again.  Isn't that great?

The thing that pisses me off the most is the fact that all these Democrats in congress helped it all happen.  I have been an Obama supporter since it became apparent that the last 7+ years of Republican Presidential leadership has been crap.  The lesser of two evils' promise of "Change" has been easy on the ears.  The last few weeks, however, have made me a little weak on my support.  Don't get me wrong...I think McCain is a McClone of McChimp but I'm really losing my faith in the Democratic side of things.  Would it really have been so hard to do all the stuff they needed to do with this "spying" but follow the rules?  Seriously?

MORE: I didn't want to go as far as this yesterday because I couldn't find a source but, Obama pissed me off yesterday.  The flip-flop he did here (and I hate using that term since Chimpy used it against Kerry back in '04) really eroded a lot of the starry-eyed optimism that made me feel like a vote for Obama was the #1 right thing to do.  He's the whole reason I put that countdown timer up there on the right side of my front page.  If he doesn't get on a camera soon and say "I fucked up" he really will be the lesser of two evils.

I really hate it when candidates change there opinion from day to day. I feel a lot of the flipping comes down to one thing. That one thing is MONEY. Most time when members of Congress change there mind a couple of day before they get a heft donation. But that is just my opinion. Maybe in a couple of years I will run for President on the ticket I can’t do any worse.
