Welcome to year two thousand four! So far the New Year has treated me reasonably well and I'm hoping the next 361 days may see me with a new job, a giant lottery-style check, and maybe that solid gold toilet I've been wanting. Of course with dreams like that, I'd be happy with 1 out of 3!
I created a script last year (read "a few days ago") to add xml/rss news feeds from other sites to my pages but haven't quite figured out how to incorporate them in this page's current layout. More Internet sites need to make their information available this way since it is a very easy way to promote your site, get a great deal of exposure, and not really do anything difficult. It'd be even better if they were free, too!
A new year seems to hold so much promise. It seems silly to think one tick past 12/31 11:59:59pm is a totally different year. If it weren't for Dick Clark and the oppressive calendar industry, we probably wouldn't even notice. But, seeing all the party hats being replaced with Valentines at the local Target brings to mind ideas like "This year is going to be different!" For those of us without that healthy ambition however, it usually ends up being "Same ____, Different ____." My resolution is to get just enough ambition to keep my ____ together. :^)
