Friendly Goodbye

The last episode of Friends aired yesterday evening.  It offered an ending to the 10 year saga that began with The One Where Monica Gets A Roommate. 

I am not an avid Friends viewer but it is a quality sitcom in its own right.  There was once a time when I spent 7 to 8pm on Thursday nite watching whatever was on NBC until Seinfeld was on.  The humor in the show is obvious but fun.  This final show was pretty good, and my wife may or may not agree with me here, but I thought it was kind of weak.  Much more of the hour long finale should have been devoted to sending each member of the cast on their way.  Afterall, Joey is supposed to be moving to Hollywood in his new spinoff, however, there was no mention of this in the show.  I also think the "Ross and Phoebe in the cab" sequences were a little too...off topic. 

Despite these nitpicks, I believe the show finished nicely with everyone headed for a coffee.
