*gasp*
The E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) started Tuesday. Thanks to IGN for covering it and displaying what you see on the left. These are images of the NEW Legend of Zelda in the works for the Nintendo GameCube. The "thing" in the lower left is the Nintendo DS (Designer System). The new Zelda game has secretly been in the works for a long time now. There is no news about the title or if Ganon will be in it, but, from IGN's reports, the game should be almost completed about this time next year. Movies and screenshots from the show look incredible and I'm excited to see what's coming. Miyamoto always seems to have some surprise for his "fans".
The DS is the stuff of fantasy. It's about the size of two GBA SPs put together. It has two screens, each bigger than the GBA's. One of which is touch sensitive and can be used by the fingers or the included stylus. Both screens can display 2-D/3-D graphics of quality somewhere between the N64 and the GameCube. It can play all GameBoy games and has wireless multiplayer capability. Multiple players can sit up to 100 feet apart and be playing the same game!
Also, Paper Mario, Mario Party 6, Mario Tennis, Metroid Prime 2, Pikmin 2, Zelda: Four Swords, and more on the horizon. Not to sound ungrateful...but I'm still waiting for the next Mario Bros game.
